Welcome to The Prickly Pear! This newly listed remodeled (2022) beach house features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, hardwood floors throughout, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to entertain!  The Prickly Pear combines modern design and sun-filled interiors, with the relaxed, fun vibe of a beach town. It is located in a quiet section of the island only a short and lovely 2-block walk via a small path to the 3rd Street beach access with public restrooms and outdoor showers. The Prickly Pear is also a short, just over 2-block walk, to Folly Beach’s popular Center Street, filled with great options for dining, shopping, and nightlife.

There are multiple areas to spread out, entertain, and enjoy this beautiful beach gem.  This beach house offers an open concept kitchen/dining/living room, with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and an oversized primary bedroom on the top floor. The primary bedroom features vaulted ceilings, a private sun bathing deck, a work station complete with extra monitor, and a beautiful bathroom with a garden tub and large shower.  Two bedrooms and all three living spaces are equipped with Smart TVs. There is a nice sunroom (2nd living room) off the kitchen with a pull-out couch, and an oversized front porch with plenty of seating and an additional large table for outdoor dining. The area under the home has been enclosed and converted to a spacious 3rd living space with couches, large TV, cornhole game set and a bar adding yet another space to entertain your friends and family!

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

Announcements
Some welcomed news in 2024 is The City of Folly Beach will be re-nourishing our beach which is much needed! 
Although not confirmed by the city, work is expected to start around early March until mid-August 2024 and will be focused one block at a time.  While we expect this to be a net positive to everyone (more sand and larger beaches), there is a small chance that your closest beach access point may be impacted during your stay.
The city hasn’t provided any further information on more precise dates, scheduling, or sequencing.   But you can stay informed with the latest by following the below links:

You must be at least 25 Years old to rent this home.
Contactless Check-In: This home offers a KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, and we will provide the code before your arrival date. 
Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles 
We do not provide beach equipment or towels, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach NOISE ORDINANCE is from 10 pm to 8 am.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
Pets considered: All pets must be approved by our office before you arrive. Upon approval there is a $150 per pet nonrefundable pet fee that is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pet max, no more than 60 lbs. each, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees prior to arrival. 

House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 8 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowner's business license.

Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.
